How to Use Danzeira

Quick answers for dancers and organizers.

For Attendees

How to find and buy tickets

Browse upcoming events on the events page. Choose your ticket type and quantity on the event page, then complete checkout. You can buy with or without a Danzeira account — we will email your tickets either way.

What fees do I pay?

Paid tickets include a booking fee at checkout (5% of the ticket total, minimum 0.50 in the event’s currency). Free tickets have no fee. The full breakdown is shown before you pay. See Pricing for more detail.

Why do I need to choose Leader or Follower?

Some events balance partner roles on the dance floor — for example, to avoid too many leaders or followers. If your ticket type asks for a role, pick the one you will dance as that night. Not every ticket requires a role; when it is optional, you can leave it unset.

How to access tickets without an account

After purchase, check your confirmation email for your order reference. Use Find My Tickets with that reference and the email you used at checkout.

Signed in? Open My Tickets from the menu to see everything in one place.

I bought as a guest — can I link tickets to my account?

Yes. Create an account or sign in using the same email address you used at checkout. Danzeira automatically links your past guest orders to your account.

I didn’t receive my confirmation email

Check your spam or promotions folder first. Make sure you entered the correct email at checkout.

You can still access your tickets with Find My Tickets using your order reference and checkout email. If you are still stuck, email [email protected].

My checkout timed out — what happened?

When you start checkout, your tickets are reserved for 10 minutes while you complete payment. If the timer runs out, the reservation is released and those tickets go back on sale. Return to the event page and start again — availability is not guaranteed until you complete checkout.

How to transfer a ticket to someone else

Open your ticket and choose Transfer. Enter the recipient’s email — we send them a claim link. Your ticket stays valid until they accept; no money moves on Danzeira (handle payment between yourselves if needed).

The recipient creates or signs in to a Danzeira account to claim the ticket.

How to add a ticket to your phone wallet

Open your ticket page after purchase. If Google Wallet is available for your event, tap Add to Google Wallet on the ticket. The pass includes your QR code — show it at the door for check-in.

How to get a refund

Refunds are issued by the event organizer, not Danzeira directly. Contact the organizer for your event — they can refund eligible tickets from their event dashboard. Booking fees are not refunded. See our Pricing page for fee details.

What happens if an event is cancelled?

If an event is cancelled, we email everyone with tickets. Your passes are no longer valid for entry. Refunds are handled by the organizer — contact them directly if you have questions. Danzeira does not automatically refund cancelled events unless required by law.

For Organizers

How to become an organizer

Sign up as an organizer or apply from your profile settings. Every organizer account is reviewed before you can publish — usually within 24–48 hours. You will get an email when you are approved.

What does Danzeira cost organizers?

Nothing to list events or sell tickets — you keep 100% of the ticket price. Buyers pay a booking fee on paid online tickets (shown at checkout). Free events and free ticket types have no booking fee. See Pricing for details.

How to create and publish an event

After approval, create an event from My Events to add details and ticket types. Danzeira guides you through a launch checklist — connect payouts, review your event, then publish.

Start a new event when you are ready.

How do leader/follower ratio limits work?

When editing a ticket type, you can enable role balancing and set a maximum difference between leaders and followers (for example, no more than 3 more leaders than followers). Buyers choose their role at checkout; sales stop for a role once the limit would be exceeded.

Leave role balancing off if your event does not need it — manual door sales can still record a role when useful.

How to connect Stripe and get paid

Go to Settings → Payouts and complete Stripe Connect onboarding. Ticket sales are paid out to your connected account; Danzeira collects a booking fee from buyers at checkout. You must connect payouts before you can publish paid events.

Can I run a free event?

Yes. Set a ticket type price to zero — there is no booking fee on free tickets. You can publish and sell free tickets without connecting Stripe. Paid ticket types require Stripe payouts before you can set a price above zero.

How to duplicate an event

Open your event dashboard, go to the Settings tab, and choose Duplicate. Danzeira copies the event as a new draft with the same details and ticket types — update the date, then publish when ready.

How to cancel an event

Open your event dashboard, go to the Settings tab, and choose Cancel Event. You can notify all ticket holders and optionally refund Stripe-paid tickets in one step. Booking fees are not refunded. Cash, card, and complimentary tickets are not refunded online.

How to sell tickets at the door

From your event dashboard, open the Tickets tab and choose Issue Manual Tickets to sell cash, card, or complimentary tickets on the spot. Tickets are issued immediately — no Stripe checkout required for the buyer. Useful for walk-ins and comp lists.

How to export or print my attendee list

From your event dashboard, open the Attendees tab and use Export CSV or Print List for a paper list at the door. The attendee table also shows payment method, role, and check-in-friendly ticket codes.

How to check in attendees

On event day, open Check-in from your event dashboard. Scan each attendee’s QR code (from their ticket email or Danzeira account) or search by name. Checked-in tickets are marked so you do not admit the same pass twice.
